Step 3: Fill in the information about the vehicle you want to sell: Exception: § 66-3-3-301 (E) requires that a non-resident who does business in New Mexico and regularly owns and operates a vehicle here must register the vehicle. If the non-resident company has a bona fide business address in New Mexico, the same documents are required as for any other owner of the business. However, it sometimes happens that to comply with § 66-3-301 (E), a non-resident company wishes to register a vehicle in New Mexico but does not have a business address in New Mexico. The seller of the vehicle must complete a Vehicle Sales Notice Form (MVD-10048) in accordance with section 66-3-101(A) of the 1978 NMSA.
